Calvary Baptist Child Care operates as a ministry of Calvary
Baptist Church. The center admits children of any race, color, national or
ethnic origin. It provides care for children from 6 weeks old through sixth
grade. The center is a member of the Association of Christian Schools
International. The facility will accommodate 85 children.
The goal is to provide a loving and nurturing place for
young children while parents work. We are not substitute parents, but we
would like to be an extension of the home. We want to provided a program
that contributes to the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and
spiritual development of children in a Christian atmosphere.
The director is responsible for the daily operation of the
center. The director is under the authority of the pastor of Calvary
Baptist Church. Our child care director, Betty Crump is a registered nurse
with several years experience in Pediatric nursing. A child care committee
made up of members of Calvary Baptist Church serve in an advisory capacity.
The child care staff periodically participates in child care
training events and workshops. This enables the staff to stay abreast of
changes in the day care industry and also to share ideas with other child
care givers. They participate in conferences and workshops sponsored by the
Association of Christian Schools International, Southern Baptist Convention,
Child Care Resources, Inc. and others.
